How To Watch

Welcome to SFF On Demand! There are a couple of ways you can watch films and exclusive SFF content from your own loungeroom. If you get stuck, don’t worry – you can also find more FAQs and answers on our Help page.

How to play via the SFF On Demand app

The SFF On Demand app allows you to Chromecast or AirPlay via your mobile device. The SFF On Demand app is available via Apple and Android stores. You can also play your content directly from the app.
Download the SFF On Demand app from the Apple store or the Google Play store. You will need the most up-to-date version of the app, so please make sure you’ve updated the app within your app store.
Once you log in with your SFF On Demand account details, you should see all the films and content you’ve rented in the ‘My Library’ section.
Casting from the app is straightforward. In the library view, click the Chromecast icon in the top corner and connect to your Chromecast device. Then click play on the content you want to watch and this will begin playing on the TV that the Chromecast is connected to. For more information on how to Chromecast via your app, click here.
To AirPlay to your Apple TV, visit the Settings tab of your On Demand app and click ‘Activate Device’. Enter the code shown on your TV. For more information on how to AirPlay, click here.

HDMI

Open SFF On Demand in your (up-to-date) browser on your computer, and connect your computer directly to your TV or projector with a HDMI cord. We recommend using a HDMI cord, as it ensures the best possible streaming quality.

Smart TV

To watch SFF On Demand on your Smart TV, you can connect your computer via HDMI chord, or you can stream via Chromecast or Apple TV.

Apple TV

To AirPlay to your Apple TV, open SFF On Demand in a Safari browser or via the SFF On Demand app and AirPlay via Apple TV to your television.
Airplay casting should work provided your browser is up to date, however mirroring will not. When playing the video on iPad, swipe the screen up to bring up the Control Centre. Tap the AirPlay button on the Now Playing Widget. Tap the device you’d like to AirPlay to, and make sure your Bluetooth is on and your mirroring off.
For more information on how to AirPlay, click here.

Windows Computer

Windows 7, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10.
You can access SFF On Demand via Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer or Opera. We recommend using the latest version of your browser as earlier versions may not be supported.

Chromecast

Chromecast is available using a Chrome browser on a PC, Mac or Android device by clicking watch now, then clicking the Chromecast icon in the bottom right hand side of the play bar, and selecting the device you’d like to cast to.
Chromecasting from mobile browsers is not officially supported by SFF On Demand. An app is required to have Chromecast support on mobile devices.
